Our hot tubs utilise a time-honored heating method known as natural convection. By lighting a wood fire in the heating submerged snorkel stove, warm water circulates effortlessly into the tub, all without the need for electricity making this eco-friendly. We have borehole water, so guarantee fresh water for all our guests. We only use Port Jackson/ Black Wattle Wood - refers to the timber of the Acacia mearnsii tree, an invasive species in South Africa, where it is widely harvested for its excellent properties as an eco-friendly firewood. Invasiveness: It is an alien, invasive species in South Africa, so its removal and use are encouraged as we strive to be more Eco-consciousness! Known for its slow-burning nature, high heat output (BTU content), and ability to ignite easily after seasoning.
